In my ongoing effort to impress you with my skills, I picked up a few new ones last year. I now know how to:
- Find my way around Austin
- Use an espresso machine
- Drive a stick shift (almost… I need to practice a bit more)
- Prepare Texas queso
- Identify three new wines based on their smell, taste, and appearance (vermentino, picpoul blank, tannat)
- Fold an origami tree ornament
- Properly use the phrase "y'all" (including the plural and possessive forms)
- Cook with bison
- Put together an event
- Ferment my own kombucha
- Make a shower curtain out of deflated birthday balloons
- Register a new LLC
- Play the bass (ditto the stick shift)
- Make my own gourmet soap
- Texas Two Step to Motown music
- Polish silver
- Use Quickbooks
- Grow outdoor plants indoors
- Bake gluten-free muffins
- Make a cake stand out of mismatched plates and tea cups
- Turn a dowdy skirt into a few dowdy snoods
- Meditate
- Fit backline onto a tiny stage
- Say the word "sin" in French
- Ask for help

Sounds like a productive year.
Do you have a link to a picture of number eleven? That sounds really impressive... never would have thought of that.
Michael, I haven't taken a picture yet. But I will. It's a bit garish, actually! I'm glad I proved it could be done, but I think I'll be taking it down soon...
#11 incredible!!
Sounds like a good year, all around.
